The British Tinnitus Association Conference

The British Tinnitus Association will welcome some of the world's leading experts in tinnitus to their annual conference, held at the Sheffield Hallam University on Thursday 4 September.

Delegates attending the 'The Future Pathway for Tinnitus' conference will have the opportunity to hear Professor Richard Salvi from The University of Buffalo, USA speak about advances in tinnitus research using brain imaging and animal models.

In addition, Shapiro Award winner Mike Sadlier from the University of Wales will present his findings on mindfulness cognitive behavioural therapy.

Both speakers will be available for a question and answer session with attendees. This year the BTA will also be offering delegates the opportunity to take part in workshops which include: delivering tinnitus services, tinnitus and private hearing services, the patient pathway and the role of the self-help group in helping patients to cope with the condition.

The BTA conference is now accredited with 5 CPD units by the British Academy of Audiology, 4 HAC CPDs and 3.5 BSHAA CUEs and 5 CPD units by the Federation of the Royal College of Physicians.
