Tables produced with the assistance of MASTA, specialists in travel health services. Healthcare professionals can access its daily updated database of vaccine and travel health advice by registering at www.masta.org (fee applies). Travellers can search for advice and information and find a MASTA Travel Clinic at www.masta-travel-health.com

There are many other travel risks for which there are no vaccines or drugs. More than 40 fact sheets on travel medicine are now available in the Patient Fact Sheets section. All travellers should be up to date for the UK vaccination regimen. Meningitis, Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis may be confined to certain geographical areas within countries. Further information can be obtained from the MASTA database.
