Choose and Book helps 10 million patients

The 10 millionth booking was made on the system only a year after it passed the 5 million mark in August 2007.

Dr Stephen Miller said the figures show that, ‘Choose and Book is making good progress in becoming the NHS's every day method of referral.'

Choose and Book was launched in 2004. At the time it was expected to be used for all the NHSs 10 million elective referrals a year by the end of 2005.
