The GPC said last week that accepting the offer was the least damaging option.
More LMC meetings held since the announcement have resulted in GPs planning to accept the offer.
Devon LMC chairman Dr Peter Jolliffe said that 38 per cent were planning to reject the offer at a recent meeting of 400 GPs. After seeing a presentation of the GPC resolution, the figure dropped to 14 per cent.
Suffolk LMC's contract meeting was cancelled after the GPC released its latest guidance. Bill Robinson, Suffolk LMC chief executive, said it contained all the information GPs needed.
Polling is to begin Monday and conclude on 29 February. The questions have yet to be revealed.

It is a disgrace that GP's cannot unite and stand firmly. It is just the beginning - I wonder whether, ever Gp's will be able to protest against -what most think is unjustified.

Gordon Brown's drive towards his pig-headed conviction has nothing to do with debate or consultation. The only way he will wake up to reality is if something threatens his present position of power. GPC have done well under the circumstances to resist change but must continue until the latter is achieved, when the opportunity beckons.
