Golden rules for registrars
Medico-legal adviser Dr Jim Rodger offers some expert advice on how to excel as a GP registrar. Read more
For ten years, the Association for Nurse Prescribing (ANP) has been a leading voice campaigning for and promoting the role of nurse prescribing.
We achieved our objectives and since May 2006, qualified nurses have been entitled to prescribe from the full formulary. The role of the ANP has evolved to provide nurses with support and education to provide nurses with confidence in their jobs.
The ANP has embraced this opportunity and recognises that the patient is at the heart of every nurse's career and that nurses need to continue improving their standards of care, knowledge and proficiency.
Membership of the ANP provides a community for nurse prescribers and we appreciate that your prescribing role means you have additional educational, training and continued professional development requirements.
Our mission statement
The Association for Nurse Prescribing provides solidarity, education and support for effective prescribing.
