efore the announcement of the extension of nurse prescribing, the ANP was primarily a lobbying voice for nurse prescribing. Although we continue to be passionate about the continued development of nurse prescribing, we believe the ANP can provide an essential community for support and education for nurse prescribers. We are proud of our existing membership and look forward to it growing, along with the number of nurse prescribers.

 

What does the ANP do?

  • Promotes education, training and continued professional development for non-medical prescribers in Britain.
  • Provides a unifying voice for the membership to influence government bodies and nursing organisations on future developments in prescribing.
  • Allows networking of nurses and all non-medical prescribers.
  • Supports research into non-medical prescribing.
  • Shares good practice.
  • Offers advice and support to prescribers, higher education institutions and government bodies.

 

Membership benefits
Annual membership of the ANP costs just £25, which will entitle you to the following benefits:

  • Our quarterly journal, ANPj, which includes updates on ANP activities, a news round-up and educational articles.
  • Support and advice from other prescribers and ANP board members.
  • Reduced delegate fees at ANP conferences.
  • Free subscriptions to both Independent Nurse magazine and MIMS for Nurses (total RRP £134).
