Ciproxin licensed for UTI in children

The licence for Ciproxin (ciprofloxacin) has been extended to include the second- and third-line
treatment of complicated UTIs and pyelonephritis in children and adolescents aged between 1-17 years.
The dose is 10-20mg/kg orally every 12 hours up to a maximum of 750mg per dose. The recommended duration of treatment is 10-21 days.
